As advertised, the R9 Nano limits itself to around 75 degrees, and while AMD says the card can run as hot as 85 degrees, this doesn’t appear to be necessary in Crysis 3.
We’re in the process of updating our power consumption results and without a Fury or Fury X graphics card currently on hand we weren’t able to add them to the data. That said, with the 390 and 390X on hand we have a good idea of just how power efficient the Nano really is. The Core i7-5960X system consumed just 261 watts with the Nano installed when playing Assassin’s Creed Unity, 28% less than the R9 390X and 16% less than the 980 Ti.
When testing power consumption with Dragon Age: Inquisition the Nano consumed 31% less power than the R9 390X and 14% less than the GTX 980 Ti.
When testing Dying Light the Nano consumed 23% less power than the R9 390X and 19% less than the GTX 980 Ti.
